Penglong Lida

She so happy that God bless her for study at University

My name is Penglong Lida. I am from Tuol Sala Village, S’ang Phnom Commune, S’ang District in Kandal province.

I would like to share my testimony of what God has done in my life. When I was grade 12 (last year of high school), my school was very far from my house so I have to stay at school during lunch break. Therefore, I need money for lunch and money for attending extra classes, which is taught by teachers with certain amount of payment of students. But sadly, my parents are very poor so they cannot afford me to attend those classes. I can only attend the class like once or twice a week.

One day my pastor started a church based project by opening a English class and chose me to be an English teacher there. At the same time I was able to pass my grade 12 at public school. I was very happy about my  teaching job and exam result. But actually, I have never had any hope or even think to continue my study at university at all because of very need in family.

Thank God at the right time, my pastor told me about Kone Kmeng that has scholarship program for poor students. So God gave me opportunity to connect with Kone kmeng and that they accepted me to obtain full university scholarship. I was really excited about that because study at university is something that I really long for.

When I have started university, I am very happy. I meet new people and new friends who are from different parts of Cambodia. Being a student in university I have opportunity to improve my English, management skill.  told myself and I am look forward to be a good manager in the future. Right now, I am working for Kone Kmeng as a volunteer staff. I am glad to learn so many things from my work.

Kone Kmeng staffs are lovely people. They teach me; they give me value for what I am doing. Not only that, Kone Kmeng staff take a very good care of me at Kone Kmeng’s dormitory that I am staying now.

Last of all, I would like to say thank you to Kone Kmeng Organization and to all lovely staff who always care, love, teach and value me. As a poor student from a very poor family, It still beyond my expectation that I am here living, working and studying in university. God is really good to me. He know my needs and always provides me enough for living.
